As I study my curiosities, I recognize delicate threads tied to my life. I'm fascinated by numbers, fragmentation, spirituality, and femininity. Certain numbers captivate me, almost as a guide to discovery. While other influences intrigue me. I was surrounded by women of all aspects growing up, I knew what I did not want to be, but I did not know what I wanted to be at the same time. I still embrace my feminine approach to the world with standards, though sometimes I am hit with fear and anxiety. My children inspire me to pursue my passions because I want the same for them. My passion is to create art, but not for aesthetics; a link to others to show how fascinating we are as human beings; to show the chaos in our minds. My work is complicated purposely to own who I am, as a woman, a mother, a wife, and an artist.

Connection

Drawing South Podcast with me!

During my first artist residency, I had the pleasure of being introduced to many new people in the Nashville area.. Though I believe the best part of the residency was meeting and getting to know the other artists in the program, with me! I had the opportunity to be on a podcast that one of the artists had been running. The Drawing South Podcast is a group of conversations with working artists, and they are all unique and interesting. I love listening to artists’ talks while I am working in my studio, so to be a part of one was exciting!
